Lonnie Lee was something of a quiet achiever. He quietly went about his business making hit records. His first, and best in my view, was "Aint It So", a flat out rocker, following up with monsters like "Starlight Starbright" ,"I Found A New Love", "Yes Indeed I Do", "Defenceless" and "Sit Around And Talk To Me". An impressive track record. Although, as far as I know, he didn't record with his backing band, The Leemen, they were a killer combo.
When the hits dried up Lonnie went into Country music where he makes a good living both here and in America. He can still stretch out when the mood takes.
